2002-2005 RESTATE (Restructuring Large-scale Housing Estates in European Cities: Good Practices and New Visions for Sustainable Neighbourhoods and Cities)

RESTATE is an ended project (funded by the European Community) about large scale housing estates in 10 European countries. It have been acknowledged that large post war housing estates in Europe have faced the same challenges and the need to investigate how and also what measures the different countries have used to change a negative development was obvious. Within the RESTATE project several national reports were produced and the program ended with a kind of handbook on how to manage these challenges in a more practical oriented way.
