Current research

My research concerns the relation between housing mix and social mix. In many parts of the world, policies to create neighbourhoods with mixed housing are debated as a mean to obtain socially mixed neighbourhoods and to tackle problems of social exclusion in disadvantaged neighbourhoods. The relation between housing mix (a mix of housing types and tenure types) and social mix (a mix of households according to their socioeconomic position) is however not much tested. In my research I therefore look closer at this relation, in the case of metropolitan Stockholm.
