Project description
My research area of interest is social mix policies as a way to combat segregation and enhance integration in urban neighbourhoods. The aim of my thesis is two folded as it focuses on both the individuals living in social and physical mix neighbourhoods as well as on the dynamics of the neighbourhoods themselves. Therefore the aim of my research is to study both the effects of these neighbourhoods on the wider neighbourhood population as well as the individuals’ own experience of living in social and physical mixed neighbourhoods.
