Lecture: The Futures of Racial Capitalism

Gargi Bhattacharyya is a professor of sociology at the University of East London. They can count as one of the most important writers and thinkers on racial capitalism today. Their publications revolve around the fields of racism, feminism, and racial capitalism, including the books Dangerous Brown Men (Zed, 2008), Crisis, austerity and everyday life (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015), Rethinking Racial Capitalism (Rowman and Littlefield, 2018), and We, the Heartbroken (Hajar Press, 2023).
In this lecture, professor Bhattacharyya will give some updates on their work and will talk about one of their most recent publications The Futures of Racial Capitalism (John Wiley and Sons, 2023).
